Fischmarkt 10, Limburg
Holiday apartment: Nice and large, rustic half-timbered house, kitchen furnishings a bit spartan
Very tasty and hearty food. Anyone who loved Grandma's food will be remembered here again. Just delicious. Simply good. My personal insider tip in Limburg.
I can’t recommend this place highly enough. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with my attempts at German and spoke English. They also had an English menu which was very helpful. The food and bier is delicious. Plus the atmosphere is so cozy and historic. Es ist köstlich und du musst dort essen.
The food is okay and served in a historical setting. The service was friendly & courteous, but unfortunately quite slow in the end.
The food is perfect. The service is very friendly. The dessert is definitely recommended. The prices are perfectly okay. Also for the whole family.
Good ambience, kept medieval. Food was very good.
Food, service was great Specialty There are two restaurants, one is opposite It can happen that a meal was ordered in the other restaurant that there is no longer in the restaurant Gasthaus Burgkeller, as the meat for the roast pork with dumplings was only enough for one portion;)
As in the Middle Ages! Great rustic pub / restaurant with a rustic and seasonal creative menu. The staff is attentive and friendly. You should reserve in advance for dinner. The restaurant is also open on Mondays.
You expect something when you stop here and get confirmed. In the middle of what feels like the highest Ristorante density north of Ticino, you can still get the good old Teutonic stuff here - and it's worth it. The schnitzel is tender as butter and straight from the pan, clarified butter gives it that certain something. The salad is a treat for the eyes and the tongue. The French fries are also worth mentioning, but I found that they are all a bit better in Limburg. In any case, my research for a solid inn in the old town was crowned with success. My wife was also very satisfied with the castle cellar pan. We were advised to keep a distance, there was disinfectant, guest registration and all of the staff were wearing masks!
I found it very cozy there. Was there with a friend who also sees it that way, great service, ambience and our food.
Friendly service and great food ... Highly recommended ...
Nice german food and friendly staff
Very centrally located in the old town. Good selection of drinks and food. Nice seating inside and outside. Unfortunately we waited a long time for the food. Adequate price-performance ratio.
I was walking past this place and cut my shin on a dangerously positioned chair. My partner went inside to report the hazard and was told "Augen auf", look where you are going. He did nothing to remove the hazard. I wouldn't patronise a place with such a poor attitude to health and safety.
Always a hearty meal here! Friendly service!
Once you have tried this taste you will never forget it!!! Sooooo Delicious 😋
Great atmosphere and super delicious food. Operations absolutely fit. Be sure to ask for the Grappa menu (if you're a Grappa drinker) and for the fruit schnapps.
Very nice nostalgic place. Food was very good, price / performance ratio was great. Service very friendly and committed. Definitely worth a visit.
I was there with my family. My parents enjoyed it, but my food was not edible for me (I had the spaetzle with mushrooms). The rest of the food was good and the service was great. Because of my food, which was partly very hard and tasted slightly like lighter gas, only 2 stars.
Good food, excellent service, old place with its own history.
Foodporn 👍
Great place from the ambience and food, 2 floors in an ingenious old half-timbered house. We ate here today for two and loved it. Rustic warm ambience and a great service that prombt on individual requests. We can only say about our sauerbraten with dumplings and castle cellar pan, great! The meat in both dishes was super tender and very tasty. The starter, a delicious potato soup, must of course also be mentioned. We are happy to have dined in a restaurant that still offers such great home-style cooking! Should we be in Limburg again, this restaurant will be among the top 3.
The best schnitzel in limburg
Very nice ambient! Excellent food! Friendly stuff!
Super
Located in a side street, the restaurant is located in a half-timbered house. We sat outside. The waitress was a bit overwhelmed, can happen. The food tasted very good. The ingredients were of high quality. The prices are in the middle price segment. I can only recommend this restaurant to anyone without hesitation
This place is unique, located in the old city of Limburg, it has space for lots of people at once including for an event in my opinion, the food is delicious and the staff is very polite and nice. 5 stars!
Lovely
We had a lovely meal here, thankfully they had an english menu but the food was 100% German and very tasty. The beer was very good, I tried the standard and dark wheat beers, the dark one was especially good.
Great food at a perfect people watching spot. Not the place for a quick bite but settle in with an amazing beer and enjoy.
The Burgkeller is a very nicely located restaurant in the old town of Limburg. It has retained its ancient charm inside and out. The food was home-style but unfortunately my fried potatoes were very fatty and not crispy. The staff was friendly and communicative.
Excellent food, very delicious schnitzel, thin but not too thin, nicely baked in the pan, top quality meat, not at all smelled of pork and very tender. In addition very good fried potatoes and crisp asparagus with very good sauce hollandaise ... Also the others were very satisfied with their food, reasonable prices and friendly service. We will be back.
very tasty schnitzel and amazing prices! service is also very very good! much recommended!
Great old place with great food and atmosphere
Delicious dinner and cozy atmosphere! I got the braised lamb with creamed cabbage and boiled potatoes. The lamb was so tender! We sat upstairs which had a low ceiling which made things feel cozy, and also it was warm away from the door opening downstairs. Pictures are of my lamb dish and of my husband’s duck dish which was also excellent. My mom got the schnitzel with pepper sauce and skillet potatoes which she also enjoyed.
Excellent restaurant and a place to devote a few hours to. Friendly and competent service team and an atmosphere that made me want to rent a room for the night just to look around. If you happen to be in Limburg, do yourself a favour and drop by.
Is ok, nothing special- lots of prepared food
Nice place, and food great.....
The restaurant is located in the old town and is in a typical building of the area. We have eaten outside in the small square. Good quality and good price.
Second visit super food drink and service
Good food and local wine
Charming restaurant with nice service personal and a very good salad(you can still order it even if isn't in the menu.
I recommend, an unhealthy portion, pepper sauce wow, super delicious, I have not eaten yet, of course, kindest Polish service, greetings to Pani from Stary Sącz. 😎
Delicious German food with Rhine speciality . Excellent home made beer . Must try ! The staff really friendly and helpful . Worth to try !
Nice, typical german...
Good food in a nice rustic atmosphere.
Excellent German food, very friendly. Not too expensive, either.
Very nice haus
Perfect place in an old house. Nice dishes, perfect beer, wonderful atmosphere
Service is very slow; my dish was served half an hour after that of my partner...a joke! On top they served the wrong dish. This is the quintessential slow/poor service restaurant where customer pleasure is yet to be introduced... unbelievably bad.
